Monday, being in the normal Monday form, did not start the week out well. Last night, as I was typing some stuff for bar review class today, a particular muscle in my back when AWOL. I literally cried myself to sleep because it hurt so bad that I could barely breathe.
This morning when the alarm went off there was still a 3-alarm pain going off in my back. Fabulous.
I told the BF to please go to class without me, and I would use one of the four make-up streaming audio classes we’re allowed this summer. It hurt so bad, that the thought of sitting in a college classroom seat all morning was torturous (or tortious if you like a play on words).
So, I finally woke up at 10am to start my own bar class on teh computer while my back throbbed in defiance. Is there a maximum to how many tylenol you can take in a day?? Because I took some every 4 hours for at least the first half of the day.
Now, I’m nursing myself with a 3rd glass of wine.
I know back problems are uber-prevelant these days. So, what do you do to help your back ailments?
Heating pads work…at least while you have the heating pad on the problem area. Also, I found this nifty thing from Pure Romance of all places. It’s a warming massager thingy. All you do is click the little pellet inside of it and it instantly warms up like a heating pad but without the electricity. It stays hot/warm for quite a while. It’s downside is that it is rather small, but I use it when I get kinks in my neck or back. If you go on their web site and look up heart massager, it’s there. I’m sure it’s intended use is for more “fun” things than back pain, but hey, whatever works!
